United Vaccines Breaks Ground in Verona

Groundbreaking Ceremony For New Manufacturing Facility

Verona, WI - Along with City of Verona officials and other supporters and staff, United Vaccines, Inc officially broke ground on Wednesday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m. for a new two-story veterinary vaccine manufacturing and testing facility. Planned for approximately 57,000 square ft. of space, with an additional 25,000 square ft. option for future expansion, the two-story building located on 6 acres on the outskirts of Verona will allow United Vaccines, Inc. the capacity for continued growth and development.

"We are proud to be a part of the Verona business community and appreciate the support we've received from the city and state in realizing our vision for the ideal facility location and design," commented Rebecca Kerns, Managing Director. "This state-of-the-art facility will allow us the capacity and resources to hire additional employees, increase production, continue to provide safe, efficacious, and superior quality products to our customers worldwide and initiate new opportunities for us to expand into other niche markets," she added.

To support the expansion, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has authorized United Vaccines to receive up to $430,000 in state tax credits. The actual amount of credits received will be contingent upon the number of jobs created and the level of capital investment by the company.

"United Vaccines has demonstrated strong growth in he market share and demand for its product," said Reed Hall, secretary and CEO of WEDC, the state's lead economic development agency. "We are pleased ti be part of the company's continued growth, which will create more family-supporting jobs in Wisconsin."

United Vaccines has partnered with Vogel Bros. Construction on the $25 million construction project schedules to be completed in the fall of 2016. Other organizations and financial institutions that played a role in developing this project include: Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., First Merit Bank, GFS Resource Group, George Butler & Associates, Foley & Lardner LLP, the Apu Group and Smith & Gesteland, LLP.
